EY Perth
2025
Engaged as the Aboriginal interior designer for EY Australia’s new Perth office fit-out, LPD carefully considered how knowledge shared by the Senior Whadjuk Advisory Group could be embedded as fixed elements throughout the interior. LPD played a pivotal role in supporting the meaningful and authentic integration of this cultural knowledge across the project. This approach brought depth and significance to the selection of finishes, the incorporation of artistic opportunities, and the overall design direction—centred around themes of commerce and trade, connection to Country, and the importance of waterways. Engaging an Aboriginal designer or consultant early in a project creates a positive ripple effect within community, where one opportunity often leads to another.
Materials draw inspiration from Country connecting to colours of our landscape, acknowledging the presence of the Wagyl and our history of trade here on Noongar boodjar. Artwork is completed by Dana Garlett with hand carved works completed by Dana, Damian Eacott, Kelvin Coleman and Andrew Beck. A special thanks to Karen Jacobs, Sandra Harben and Greg Ugle for their knowledge and guidance and Jacqui Warnock for her support.
