Dalkeith Renovation

OCTOBER 2024

PHOTOGRAPHY: CARLIA KNOWLES FROM STUDIO CK

Ping and Leon purchased a home in Dalkeith that was in desperate need of some TLC. While their long-term plan is to eventually rebuild, the house first required a full cosmetic makeover to make it a comfortable and enjoyable place to live in the interim. With great Mid-Century bones, the brief for LPD and Vicky from Style and Grace Interiors was to focus on practical, low-maintenance finishes while preserving the home’s original character.

We approached the renovation strategically—prioritising cost-effective materials, engaging essential trades thoughtfully, and selecting quality furniture pieces that could be repurposed in the future. With the right designer, it’s amazing how far fresh joinery, new paint, and thoughtful styling can go.
