When M + A engaged LPD for the furniture selections of their new home, it really was the dream brief. We needed to pay homage to the architecture, draw inspiration from the clients stunning existing artwork & incorporate Aboriginal culture and businesses where possible. After looking at a few different sources of inspiration, we landed on a style we called “Mid-Century Arthouse,” where the artwork inspired colours, patterns, architectural shaping and a fun, playful personality within the styling. In this project we also had the opportunity to work with Yondee Shane Hansen, who created a stunning sand art piece from sand sourced locally and telling the story of the Wagyl. This has been an incredible project to work on, and one which will continue to inspire us.
